Community Engagement:
My work with community-based committees and organizations includes the Town of Creston’s Official Community Plan and centennial planning advisory committees; BC Museums Association’s Mentorship program, Awards committee, and TEAM program; and leadership roles with the Creston Valley Arts Council, Kootenay Regional Heritage Association, and many others.
Mentor and Team Leader:
I have mentored many emerging professionals, volunteers, and organizational leaders in the changing paradigms and priorities of the non-profit field, established effective training programs, and supported many in furthering their careers in the museum and non-profit fields.
Grant-writing and Adjudication: Thirty years’ experience writing project, operating, and capital grant applications with a success rate of over 75%; Recurring participation on adjudication or peer review committees for a wide variety of local, regional, provincial, and federal grant-funding programs.
