“Creston Valley Community Housing Society has approached Tammy Bradford on two occasions looking for information on properties within the Town of Creston as part of an environmental assessment process that was required before starting construction on the property. In both cases, we received solid information quickly. Her research skills were invaluable to us.”
Heather More, Creston Valley Community Housing Society
What I Do
My career began as an interpreter in museums and heritage sites, and after thirty years in the field I have honed my ability to engage diverse audiences on a wide variety of topics. In the process, I have developed proven techniques to train others in public speaking, program delivery, and interpretation.
With a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science and the equivalent of a Master’s degree in Museum Studies, I am no stranger to academic research and writing – but I excel at writing for public audiences. My portfolio includes everything from single-sentence interpretive labels to monthly magazine columns and full-length memoirs. I am equally comfortable editing your writing as I am in creating my own.
One of my favourite things is to dive deep into the archives and original documents, hunting up elusive details about a person, property, or event. Through this work, I have helped individuals connect with their ancestors, and provided support for organizational planning and decision-making.
